pop-up messages?
So what are these messages?
You may encounter the [Important Display Message] or [Unknown Parts] pop-up messages after a part replacement.
No panic.
These messages appear when your device has replaced components, e.g. battery, screen or other components (depending on the iPhone model). But this doesn't mean that the replaced parts has an issue or is defective — the message is only there to set a reminder that, some parts of the device may have been serviced with an aftermarket part, or a part that is refurbished/second hand.
How can I service my phone and not have these messages?
Currently, only repairs from the Apple Store, Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) or an Independent Repair Provider (IRP), have access to brand new Genuine Apple parts, that can be serviced to not show pop-up messages. We are one of the repair providers with access to Apple Genuine Parts and their service tools.
Will the data on my phone be safe or reset during a repair service?
We offer transparent and convenient solutions when it comes to protecting your data. With any Apple device repairs, we are solely replacing the damaged components, most commonly the display. Your data will not be reset or modified during a component repair, saving you the trouble to restore data from backup, or when there is no backup. Our procedure differs with the Apple Store and AASP, as data is most often reset during a first-party provided repair.
There will be times where as part of the device repair procedure, our technician will need access to the system on the device, this is when we will ask your consent to unlock the screen, or remove the screen lock to complete the repair calibration.
How can I book and what are the turnaround times?
We are located in the comfort of air conditioning centre in the heart of West End. We recommend bringing your device directly to our store for inspection before replacement. Most common devices can be repaired same-day on the spot. Newer devices may need the parts ordered, in particular the Genuine Parts. Please call or text us to confirm a time.
