If an Unknown part is detected, your iPhone will display a notification the first time you unlock it after a repair and another one in five days.
If an issue with a component significantly affects the functionality of the device and needs attention to resolve, your iPhone will display a one-time notification. This notification will appear the first time you unlock your iPhone after the issue is detected, and the notification will remain in Parts and Service History until you dismiss it.

We recommend, for most customers, visiting a professional repair provider with certified technicians who use genuine Apple parts is the best way to get a safe and reliable outcome to a repair. These providers include Apple and Apple Authorised Service Providers. Independent Repair Providers also have access to genuine Apple parts.

With any Apple device repairs, we are solely replacing the damaged components, most commonly the display. Your data will not be reset or modified during a component repair, saving you the trouble to restore data from backup, or when there is no backup. Our procedure differs with the Apple Store and AASP, as data is most often reset during a first-party provided repair.
There will be times where as part of the device repair procedure, our technician will need access to the system on the device, this is when we will ask your consent to unlock the screen, or remove the screen lock to complete the repair calibration.

We recommend bringing your device directly to our store for inspection before replacement. Most common devices can be repaired same-day on the spot. Newer devices may need the parts ordered, in particular the Genuine Parts. Please get in touch to confirm a time and part allocation.
